Officially the first day of the 2018 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa! Though it ended up rained out, it seems to be off to a great start! Iowa State University’s Marching Band kicked off the show this morning before opening at 8 a.m. (Go Cyclones!)
There are plenty of companies to visit if you have the chance to stop by! See machinery and farm equipment.

There are many learning opportunities even for those in agriculture through companies who have activities going on. One company with an activity was Channel Seed, where your knowledge will be tested on growth stages: seedling, vegetative, reproductive, and maturity.
Throughout the day I ran into old friends from FFA and ISU, along with catching up with some farm broadcasters. You never know who you will meet or run into, so enjoy the next two days of the 2018 Farm Progress Show!
