The harvest season has been an interesting one this year. After somewhat problematic weather delaying harvest, farmers got back in the fields.

Almost seems like it went from nice weather to rain and even more rain! Many sights to be seen this harvest season with the soybeans under those conditions.

All the rain added up and growth took place.

From rain to a light snow on October 14, with the weather cooling down enough to stop the growth.

Now it is past the middle of November and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship released new harvest statistics this morning. The state sits at 97% of soybeans harvested and 91% of corn harvested. Farmers are closing in the gap.
What are other states experiencing?
