Saturday, August 10 was a day well spent at the Iowa State Fair! This year was the 37th Annual Governor’s Charity Steer Show.

Every year the event raises money for the Ronald McDonald Houses, which are located in Sioux City, Iowa City, and Des Moines. From 1983-2018 this event has raised a total of $3,543,685, which goes towards helping families.

Winner of Showmanship was Seeds of Hope led by Justine Stevenson with Seeds of Hope Foundation. The People’s Choice winner was Straight Profit led by Brian Moore, Former District 58 State Representative. The overall grand champion steer was Richard led by Lt. Governor Adam Gregg.
