National Teach Ag Day

Today we encourage others to become Ag Teachers and recognize their role with National Teach Ag Day! I had my share of Agriculture teachers both in high school and college. Their roles are not minor in helping shape their students. Here’s to the future students who will go on to pursue agricultural education, to my friends who are still pursuing their degree/ license in ag. education, and those who have gone off to teach in the classroom. Waiting for Harvest Season

Rain, rain, go away.  I believe recently the storms have brought enough rain, but the forecast for the week does not look promising for anything else. Some fields were getting closer to harvest in the area and now water is in the field. View this post on Instagram We do not need more rain in the fields. 2018 Farm Progress Show

Officially the first day of the 2018 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa! Though it ended up rained out, it seems to be off to a great start! Iowa State University’s Marching Band kicked off the show this morning before opening at 8 a.m. (Go Cyclones!) There are plenty of companies to visit if you have the chance to stop by! See machinery and farm equipment. There are many learning opportunities even for those in agriculture through companies who have activities going on.
